No. 10 Wisconsin-Green Bay beats Detroit 66-53

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Julie Wojta scored 29 points and No. 10 Wisconsin-Green Bay won the Horizon League tournament title, beating Detroit 66-53 on Sunday.

Wojta, the Horizon League Player of the Year, also earned tournament MVP honors. She had double-doubles in the semifinal and final.

Shareta Brown led Detroit (20-13) with 22 points before fouling out. Brown had 16 points in the first half but was held in check as the Phoenix rallied from an early deficit.

Freshman guard Megan Lukan scored a career-high 20 points for Green Bay (30-1), which heads into the NCAA tournament with only one loss for the second straight season.

Senee Shearer added 14 points for the Titans before leaving with an injury early in the second half.
