Bell, Jazz brass meet to clear air after clash
Monday, March 12, 2012
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah Jazz guard Raja Bell says he feels good about a meeting with team brass days after he was sent home from a road trip after clashing with coach Tyrone Corbin.
Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said the issue is resolved and expects Bell in uniform Monday night against Detroit, barring bad news on a precautionary MRI on Bell's sore knee.
Bell started Friday's game in Philadelphia but was sent home by Corbin and missed Saturday's game at Chicago.
Bell started all 30 games he has played in for the Jazz (19-21) this season and is averaging 6.9 points.
O'Connor declined comment when asked if he has had calls about trading Bell.
Center Al Jefferson's status for Monday's game remains unclear because of a "family matter."
