MONTESANO, Wash. (AP) — The man accused of attacking a sheriff’s deputy and judge in the Grays Harbor County Courthouse is being returned to Montesano Monday for a preliminary court appearance in the assault case.
Undersheriff Rick Scott also told KBKW officials from the sheriff’s office and courts are meeting with county commissioners Monday about improving security.
Steven Daniel Kravetz is accused of shooting Deputy Polly Davin with her own gun and stabbing Judge David Edwards on Friday during a confrontation in the Courthouse.
The 34-year-old Kravets was arrested Saturday at his mother’s home in Olympia where the deputy’s gun was recovered.
