PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Lincoln County district attorney says he plans to prosecute a couple accused of a killing a man near Toledo, although at least one suspect already faces a life sentence in Washington.
Rob Bovett says he’ll extradite David “Joey” Pedersen and Holly Grigsby to face trial in the shooting death of 19-year-old Cody Myers of Lafayette. He was on his way to a jazz festival last October when authorities believe he crossed paths with Pedersen and Grigsby.
Bovett told The Oregonian (http://is.gd/y40lhf ) he’s waiting for Grigsby’s case to be resolved in Everett, Wash. On Monday Pederson pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of his father and stepmother. The prosecutor decided not to seek the death penalty against him, but has yet to decide about Grigsby.
