MONTESANO, Wash. (AP) — A 34-year-old man accused of stabbing and shooting a sheriff’s deputy and stabbing a judge in the Grays Harbor County Courthouse has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault.

At a court appearance Monday in Montesano, Wash., a visiting judge ordered Steven Kravetz held on $750,000 bail. He was ordered to have no contact with either victim in last Friday’s attack and to have no contact with his own mother, who provided a tip that led to his Saturday arrest. Court records show Kravetz was charged with domestic violence in 2005, accused of attacking his mother.

Neither county sheriff’s Deputy Polly Davin nor Superior Court Judge David Edwards was seriously hurt. Edwards returned to work Monday.
