SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team arrested an 18-year-old suspect Tuesday for investigation of assault at a Saturday night house party that left the victim in critical condition.
The suspect told reporters in jail house interviews that he punched the victim because he had shoved his pregnant girlfriend. The suspect is expected to make an initial court appearance Wednesday.
The Spokane sheriff’s office says there were more than 100 people at the party at a residence.
