Kaiser Permanente members have rated their health plan the highest in member satisfaction.

The J.D. Power and Associates’ 2012 U.S. Member Health Plan Study measures member satisfaction among 141 health plans in 17 regions across the country. Kaiser received a score of 742 on a 1,000-point scale — 43 points higher than the regional average.

The study ranking considers seven factors: coverage and benefits, provider choice, information and communication, claims processing, statements, customer service and approval process.

Kaiser performed well in the coverage and benefits, and information and communication categories.

Kaiser serves more than 480,000 medical members, including about 94,000 Clark County residents.
