CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) — A man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon at a house in Centralia, and police arrested a suspect.
KITI reports officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the body of the man, identified by the Lewis County coroner as 43-year-old David Wayne Carson.
Officer John Panco says Carson was an acquaintance of the suspect, 29-year-old Weston G. Miller, and sometimes stayed at his house.
Miller was arrested by police and deputies while driving near Centralia a short time after the shooting. He’s jailed for investigation of murder. A 9 mm handgun believed to be the murder weapon was found at the scene.
Panco says the motive in the shooting is unclear. Detectives have been talking with a woman who was a witness.
