BRASILIA, Brazil (AP) — FIFA head Sepp Blatter and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff are meeting in Brazil to discuss preparations for the 2014 World Cup.

The meeting Friday comes two weeks after FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke made harsh remarks over Brazil’s slow preparations, starting a feud between the host country and world soccer’s governing body.

Pele and Ronaldo also joined Blatter and Rousseff in the nation’s capital. Brazil Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo, who threatened to cut the country’s ties with the FIFA official in charge of working with the government, also attended the meeting.

Pele is a World Cup ambassador, while Ronaldo is a member of the local organizing committee.
