HOUSTON (AP) — Marcus Camby wants to finish his career in Houston, where he’s lived since 2005. Derek Fisher may never suit up with the Rockets at all.

The Rockets acquired the two veterans in separate deals on Thursday with the hope of bolstering a playoff push. Houston is 24-20 and currently holds the No. 8 spot in the West with road games this weekend against the L.A. Clippers and Phoenix.

General manager Daryl Morey says the 6-foot-11 Camby is still one of the league’s elite defensive players and rebounders.

Morey would only speak about Camby and the first-round pick Houston acquired in the Fisher trade. He would not comment when asked directly about Fisher’s status, only acknowledging that the trade with the Lakers was final.

Houston also cut forward Terrence Williams.
