Looking for local volunteer opportunities? Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southwest Washington, Vancouver-based Second Step Housing and the American Red Cross of Southwest Washington will join Columbian.com readers for a live chat today, March 16 at noon. These nonprofits will be on hand to answer questions and discuss community events and volunteering at www.columbian.com/chat.
Login to participate on Friday at noon at www.columbian.com/chat. Participants must use a Facebook, Twitter, OpenID or MySpace account to login and leave comments or questions, but anyone can watch the action.
Are there other nonprofits you'd like to learn about? Tell us in the comments and we'll invite them to the chat! Also, feel free to invite your favorite charity to participate.
(Thanks to reader J. Maury Harris for your suggestion to invite environmental charities.)
