GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Xavier starting guard Dezmine Wells has been taken to the locker room for observation after injuring his right ankle in the first half of Sunday’s game against Lehigh.
Wells’ status for the remainder of the game is questionable, according to a Musketeers spokesman.
He was injured with 10:38 left in the first half and the Musketeers trailing 22-14 to the 15th-seeded Mountain Hawks.
Wells is averaging 10.2 points per game this season.
