ISLAMABAD (AP) — A Pakistani parliamentary commission has demanded an end to American drone strikes inside the country.

The commission has been tasked with coming up with new terms for Pakistan’s relationship with the United States.

The demand was announced as parliament met on Tuesday and opened a debate on reengagement with the U.S.

It could complicate efforts to rebuild ties that were all but severed by U.S. airstrikes in November along the Afghan border that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
