SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Police say a burglary suspect arrested Tuesday night in Spokane is a repeat offender with a 19-year record of property crimes.

Police say 35-year-old Grant Brough was one of two men who ran from a car after a traffic stop. He was tracked down with the help of a police dog. Police say he had two kinds of illegal drugs on him, plus items taken during a burglary.

He’s suspected of a break-in earlier in the day in which a truck, gun, and other items were taken. He was booked into jail for investigation of theft, burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Police say Brough has been entered in the repeat offender program and could face a longer sentence because of his record.
