Two Troutdale, Ore., residents were injured in a single-car crash Thursday morning on Interstate 5 just south of Woodland.

Ryan LaClaire, 39, and Shane Irene LaClaire, 37, were headed north in the right lane at 9:55 a.m., when the trailer they were towing behind their 2005 Chevrolet Blazer began to oscillate, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Police said Ryan LaClaire lost control, veered left and struck an inside guard rail, causing the trailer to roll onto its right side.

The vehicle and trailer came to rest blocking all three northbound lanes, police said. The crash blocked northbound lanes for about 45 minutes.

Shane LaClaire suffered neck and back injuries and was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Both driver and passenger were wearing seat belts.

Police said speed was a factor in the accident, and Ryan LaClaire was cited for an unsafe lane change.
