Portland police say shooting victim died in car

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say a wounded man died in a car that crashed on the way to a hospital.

Witnesses told The Oregonian (http://is.gd/ZjlFdW ) windows had been shot out of the car that crashed Thursday morning in north Portland.

Officers found 31-year-old Ramon Devon Taylor on the floor of the backseat with a fatal wound to the head.

A 59-year-old passenger in the front seat was taken to a hospital with a wound to the abdomen.

A 58-year-old woman who was driving was not injured.

Police say they don’t know of a motive in the shooting that took place earlier in southeast Portland, and investigators would like to talk to any witnesses.
