LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Belgian tennis players Yanina Wickmayer and Xavier Malisse will have their cases heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in May to decide if they broke anti-doping rules.
CAS says it will hear the appeals involving the players, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Flemish Tennis Federation and the Flemish Doping Tribunal on May 30.
Wickmayer and Malisse are challenging one-year bans imposed in 2009 after the tribunal ruled they failed to give details of their whereabouts for drug testing. A second Belgian court granted injunctions allowing them to keep playing.
The 22-year-old Wickmayer is ranked No. 33. The 31-year-old Malisse is 75th.
