U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, will host a community coffee event 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Juliano’s Pizzeria, 15606 SE Mill Plain Blvd., in Vancouver.

The congresswoman uses her community coffee events to meet constituents, answer their questions, and update them on the political issues she’s working on in the nation’s capital.

Telephone alerts informing people about the meeting will go out to about 10,400 residents who live near the meeting location, but anyone can attend the free event, Herrera Beutler’s spokesman, Casey Bowman, said.

Saturday’s get-together will be the 19th time Herrera Beutler has organized such meetings with constituents over coffee.

“It’s a part of her effort to give residents of her district as many opportunities as possible to share what’s on their mind,” Bowman said by email on Friday afternoon, when he made the announcement about the meeting.

Herrera Beutler’s last in-person town hall took place last May.
