An accident involving a truck hauling scrap metal has blocked westbound Highway 14 east of Washougal.
The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Friday at Milepost 22, near the Clark/Skamania county line. Two cars and a tractor-trailer rig loaded with scrap metal were involved.
The truck ended up on its side, according to an alert from the state Department of Transportation.
Tow trucks and traffic flaggers are on the scene. WSDOT estimates the highway will reopen in both directions later today.
As of 2 p.m. the truck was righted, but debris was still keeping one lane of the roadway closed. Cleanup is under way.
There was no word about any injuries.
