THE LIFE OF CHRIST will be portrayed noon to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9728 N.E. 50th Ave. The church hall will be transformed into the land of Israel, with 13 separate backdrops/vignettes depicting scenes from the New Testament story of the life of Jesus Christ. Tenebrae, meaning darkness, dates from the Middle Ages. This year’s theme reflects on recent hardships in war, the economy and the decline of the planet’s biodiversity.
