Angels’ Santana shuts down Rangers in 3-2 win

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — Ervin Santana held the Rangers to a run over five innings and the Los Angeles Angels beat Texas 3-2 Saturday.

Kendrys Morales went 1 for 3 with an RBI single and Alexi Amarista added a run-scoring double for the Angels.

Ian Kinsler and Brad Hawpe homered for the Rangers. The Rangers are 1-10 at Surprise Stadium this spring.

Santana gave up five hits, walked two and struck out two.

Texas starter Greg Reynolds allowed one unearned run on two hits and struck out three in place of Matt Harrison, who started a minor league game.
