Grant applications for spaying and neutering programs are due by April 6 to the Clark County Animal Protection & Control Advisory Board.

Clark County and the City of Vancouver have provided $15,000 for the grants.

“The Spay and Neuter Program helps all of us by reducing the number of animals that end up abandoned or at an area shelter,” said Paul Scarpelli, Animal Control manager.

Grant applications are at http://www.clark.wa.gov/development/animals/spay_neuter.html.

Applications also can be obtained by contacting Adrienne Willows at 360-397-2375 Ext. 5852 or adrienne.willows@clark.wa.gov.

The deadline is 5 p.m. April 6.

Mail applications to Animal Protection & Control, P.O. Box 9810, Vancouver, WA 98666, email Willows or send by fax to 360-759-5684.

The Animal Protection & Control Advisory Board requires each spay/neuter grant recipient to be an active licensing agent for Clark County.

Also, all animals must be licensed and living in Clark County to be eligible.
