PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say officers have wounded a suspect in a robbery investigation.
Police say the man is expected to survive.
A spokesman, Sgt. Pete Simpson, says officers on the city’s southeast side came across a parked car Monday that was linked to a robbery the day before.
When officers approached, Simpson says, the man emerged from the car and showed what appeared to be a handgun. Simpson says four officers fired.
He says the weapon turned out to be a realistic replica handgun.
