MOSES LAKE, Wash. (AP) — The Grant County coroner confirms that a body recovered from the Potholes Reservoir is that of a 64-year-old Moses Lake, Wash., man who disappeared Dec. 23.
Coroner Craig Morrison said after an autopsy Tuesday that the body was that of Dan Toya.
The coroner says the man died accidentally from drowning.
Franklin County’s remote-controlled underwater robot found the body on Monday.
On Sunday, a friend of Toya’s found the body of the missing man’s golden retriever, Molly, in the reservoir.
