First baby wallaby for Seattle zoo
Wednesday, March 28, 2012
SEATTLE (AP) -- A 5-month-old baby wallaby has started peeking out of its mother's pouch at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.
The zoo says it's the first infant wallaby -- known as a joey -- born at the zoo.
It weighs just over a pound and should start hopping around on its own this summer, although it will return to the pouch for feeding.
