BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) -- A Girl Scout Daisy troop planted a tree Tuesday for Amina Kocer-Bowman near the Bremerton elementary school where she was critically wounded.
The kindergarten and first-grade girls sang a song about friends and presented Amina with an honorary vest.
Amina's dad, John Bowman, told the Kitsap Sun (http://is.gd/WaTEuw) she's getting a lot of therapy but has a long road of recovery ahead.
She was nearly killed on Feb. 22 when a gun fired in a classmate's backpack.
