BOSTON (AP) — Atlanta Hawks swingman Tracy McGrady left Friday night’s game against Boston late in the second quarter with an injury to his right ankle.

McGrady took a jump shot and appeared to land on Rajon Rondo’s heel. McGrady went to the court and remained there while play continued at the other end. He tried to get up but fell back to the floor. He was eventually helped off by Hawks medical staffers.

McGrady, 32, averaged 5.3 points per game this season, his 15th in the NBA.

He had 10 points and six rebounds in 16 minutes on Friday.

The best-of-seven series was tied 1-1.

Atlanta was already without forward Josh Smith, and centers Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia.
