SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) — Police have identified a 53-year-old man who moved to Seaside from Portland a few days earlier as the second victim of a double homicide.
The Daily Astorian reports (http://bit.ly/IPDnbc ) that autopsies done Sunday show 53-year-old Laura Foster and 53-year-old Guy Phillips were beaten multiple times on their heads. Investigators say the murder weapon was an aluminum baseball bat they found in a search of Foster’s house.
Police believe Phillips moved to Seaside from the Portland area on May 1. Authorities describe him as a longtime friend of Laura Foster.
Foster’s former husband, 50-year-old Marcus G. Foster, has been booked on charges of aggravated murder and is to appear in court Monday.
