Tuesday, May 8, 2012
ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) -- Pontoons for the new Highway 520 floating bridge at Seattle will be towed this summer from Grays Harbor to Lake Washington.
KBKW reports a project director for the contractor told port commissioners Tuesday the first pontoons will be floated out of the casting basin at Aberdeen in June. They'll be taken to Hoquiam to prepare for the 260-mile tow around the Olympic Peninsula.
