WASDOT opening North Cascades Highway

MARBLEMOUNT, Wash. (AP) -- The state Transportation Department is opening the North Cascades Highway at noon Thursday.
Road crews have been clearing winter snow and avalanches for seven weeks.
The section of Highway 20 through the North Cascades was closed in November.
