SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) — An Army recruiter has been accused of having sex with 17-year-old female recruit at his office.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/IO2aYo ) 33-year-old Russell Edward Miller is to be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.
Police reports say the girl went to Miller’s office in April to get help finding a prom date, and Miller offered to let her look at photos of other recruits on his Facebook page as prospective dates.
The reports say Miller told officers he knew she was 17. The age of consent in Oregon is 18.
