Northwest Pipe to file earnings report late

Northwest Pipe Co. said Friday it will be late in filing its quarterly earnings report for the January-to-March period.

The Vancouver-based maker of steel pipe primarily for drinking water systems said the report will be late because of its work to correct and file previous financial data, including its 2011 annual financial report.

That work required a commitment of “extraordinary resources for an extended period of time, including substantial demands on the time of the company’s management and finance and accounting staff,” Northwest Pipe said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
