Medford woman died of asphyxiation



MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Police in Medford, Ore., are investigating the death of a 31-year-old woman who was found in her apartment.

According to a police release Sunday, the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that Maria Victoria McDonald died of asphyxiation though the manner of her death is still undetermined.

McDonald was found Friday night. Police say her death appears to be suspicious.

Detectives from several law enforcement agencies are investigating.
