MIAMI (AP) — Chris Bosh will be out indefinitely, so the Miami Heat have to adjust. So do the Indiana Pacers.

An MRI on Monday confirmed Bosh strained a lower abdominal muscle in Miami’s Game 1 victory. The diagnosis is clear, but the prognosis is not, with the team saying there’s no firm timetable for Bosh’s return.

Bosh is not speculating on how long he’ll be sidelined. He says the injury isn’t as bad as it could have been, but also says “this season has to be extended for me to play again.”

In Game 2 on Tuesday night, the Heat will likely turn to Ronny Turiaf and Joel Anthony to play the bulk of the minutes vacated by Bosh’s absence.

Miami won Game 1 95-86 on Sunday.
