Ex-Klamath deputy sentenced in sex case



KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — A former Klamath County sheriff’s deputy charged with sex crimes pleaded guilty to lesser charges and will serve more than three months under house arrest.

Joshua Andrew Bryant was charged with felony sex abuse for allegedly forcing a woman into sex acts at a vacation rental property north of Brookings. He pleaded guilty May 6 in Curry County Circuit Court to one count of harassment and two counts of coercion.

The Herald and News reports (http://is.gd/cYBRys) the 40-year-old was sentenced to the house arrest in Hood River.

As part of his plea agreement, Bryant agreed not to contest his decertification as a law enforcement officer.
