Lions sign DB Sam Proctor and WR Wallace Miles

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions have signed Oklahoma defensive back Sam Proctor and North Carolina A&T wide receiver Wallace Miles to one-year contracts.

The team announced the moves Tuesday after both undrafted players tried out for the team during last weekend's rookie minicamp.

The 5-foot-11, 226-pound Proctor made 103 tackles in his four-year career with the Sooners. The 6-1, 193-pound Wallace had 70 receptions for 1,000-plus yards with six touchdowns last year as a senior.

Detroit also put running back Jerome Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list. Harrison had surgery in October for a brain tumor, which was discovered after the Lions attempted to trade him to the Philadelphia Eagles.
