The number of Clark County homes in foreclosure declined 20.5 percent from March to April, and also dropped more than 43 percent from April 2011, according to a report issued Wednesday.
California-based RealtyTrac, which tracks foreclosures across the nation, reported 170 houses in some stage of foreclosure last month, down for the second month in a row. Clark County’s foreclosure rate in April was the third-highest rate of the state’s 39 counties.
Nationwide, April foreclosures decreased 5 percent from the previous month and were down 14 percent from April 2011. One in every 698 U.S. housing units had a foreclosure.
In Washington, one out of every 1,581 houses was in foreclosure in April, RealtyTrac reported. In Clark County, one out of every 985 homes was in some stage of foreclosure.
