La Pine motorist sentenced to 7 years in prison

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) -- A Klamath County judge has sentenced a motorist to more than seven years in prison for causing the death of his passenger in a 2010 crash.
The district attorney's office says 29-year-old Marcus Valentine of La Pine was convicted of second-degree manslaughter.
Valentine was driving southbound on Highway 97 when he veered off the road and into a ditch, rolling the vehicle.
Passenger Richard Allino was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries.
