Letter: Herrera Beutler reflects constituent

The Columbian
Published: May 18, 2012, 5:00pm

For the record, for which I approve, are the votes of Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s, R-Camas. I give a wholehearted approval for her “no” votes. That is why I voted for her.

  1. Calling for more scrutiny of the Columbia River Crossing.

  2. Ending big oil subsidies.

  3. Reducing greenhouse gases.

Then she opposes so many give-away programs, like:

  1. Cutting funds for food stamps.

  2. Slashing Pell grants.

  3. Defunding Planned Parenthood.

It’s refreshing to have someone who reflects and understands that, when more people are climbing in the wagon, it is not going to be long before the wagon stops moving. What do you think all the freeloaders are going to do then?
