Letter: Boldt has skilled leadership

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Clark County Commissioner Marc Boldt. I have found him to be professional, interested, and above all, personable. These attributes are often times lacking in elected officials.

A citizen, whether Democrat or Republican, can be guaranteed a handshake, a friendly smile, and an honest answer when speaking to Boldt. I applaud him for making informed decisions on what’s best for our community and not what a political party perceives is the politically correct position.

I should disclose I’m a lifelong Republican but at times have voted for tax increases for public transportation, schools, and safety. I would even have voted for an admissions tax to bring baseball to Clark County.
