SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Police say a resident of a north Spokane home drove off four home invaders with a decorative sword, giving one a slash wound.
The home invasion was reported about 3 a.m. Tuesday in the Indian Trail area where four people were in the house — two men, a woman and a child.
Police told KHQ (http://is.gd/z7sApg ) one of the occupants recognized at least one of the four suspects and allowed them to enter.
Once inside, one pulled a pistol and bound two of the occupants with zip ties. One got lose, grabbed the sword and forced the intruders to flee. One occupant was beaten badly and taken to a hospital.
