Letter: Facilitate first-time voter workshop

I am turning 18 in the fall and therefore will be able to vote in the presidential election this year. It is hard to independently decide on whom to vote for -- not whom anyone else thinks I should vote for. I find myself wondering if other teens are feeling as overwhelmed as I am.

I think that voter turnout is so low for teens because they are unsure of where to start. I believe that there should be a program that educates new voters about the basic issues and process of voting. This could allow the younger generation to play a greater role in politics in the future.
