Deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious device left in a Sunnyside gas station early Tuesday.
An employee at the Shell gas station at 8515 N.E Andresen Road called 911 about midnight to report the device. Sheriff’s deputies responded and found a small, suspicious-looking item on the store counter, sheriff’s Sgt. Phil Sample said in a news release.
Members of the Metro Bomb Squad responded. The store was closed and the gas pumps were turned off as a precaution.
The bomb squad determined the device wasn’t explosive or hazardous, Sample said.
The store reopened around 2:20 a.m.
