A Vancouver bicyclist injured in an April 27 crash with a minivan in Hazel Dell has died.

Kurt Lundeman, 47, died the morning of May 19, said Sgt. Dennis Pritchard, who supervises the Clark County sheriff’s Traffic Homicide Unit.

Lundeman was crossing Northeast Highway 99 near Northeast 102nd Street around 8:30 p.m. when he was hit by a 2001 Mazda minivan driven by Jill Johnson, 47, of Vancouver, according to the sheriff’s office.

Lundeman was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in critical condition. He was reported in serious condition on May 9.

Johnson is not suspected of speeding or being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies are waiting on Lundeman’s toxicology reports, which could come back in six to eight weeks, to complete the investigation, Pritchard said.
