Local students win National Merit Scholarships

Four Clark County students have been named National Merit Scholarship winners. More than 2,500 scholars nationwide — 37 in Washington State — are recipients of these college-sponsored awards ranging between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

• Christopher Coppock, Vancouver, attends Oregon Episcopal School in Portland and received a National Merit Scholarship to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

• Joshua C. Hill, Camas, attends King's Way High School and received a National Merit Scholarship to Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.

• Jennifer Kay Rogers, Vancouver, attends Columbia River High School and received a National Merit Scholarship to Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif.

• Kimberly A. Tadlock, Camas, attends Union High School and received a National Merit Scholarship to Whitworth University in Spokane.
