Valencia CF at Portland

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. today at Jeld-Wen Field.

TV: None.

Radio: 750 AM (940 AM Spanish broadcast).

On the Web: Live video webcast at portlandtimbers.com.

Tickets: A sellout of 20,438 is expected. A limited number of tickets remained as of late Tuesday.

About Valencia CF: Owners of the third-best record all time in Spain’s La Liga, Valencia FC was founded in 1919. Valencia finished third in La Liga in 2012 to qualify for the 2013 UEFA Champions League.

Players to watch: Valencia’s roster for games in Portland and Houston on this season-ending trip includes forwards Jonas and Aritz Aduriz, veteran midfielder David Albelda, French defender Jérémy Mathieu and goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

Storyline: This is the first of two international exhibitions scheduled for Portland this season. English Premier League club Aston Villa — making a preseason trip to the United States — plays at Portland on July 24. With an MLS match against Vancouver on Saturday, expect Portland to use this as a chance to play reserve players and those working their way back to fitness.
