CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — After months of wondering when any Hendrick Motorsports car would win again, NASCAR’s powerhouse program is on a major roll heading into the Coca-Cola 600.

Five-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson broke a 16-race winless drought earlier this month at Darlington Raceway to earn the 200th victory for Hendrick Motorsports, then followed with a win in last week’s All-Star race at Charlotte Motorspeedway. Throw in a Sprint Showdown victory by Hendrick driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. last Saturday night and a win in the Pit Crew Challenge by Johnson’s No. 48 team and it’s a non-stop party for owner Rick Hendrick.

The team celebrated with country music superstar Brad Paisley headlining a Hendrick party. Johnson sees no reason the success won’t continue in Sunday night’s race.
