Thursday, May 24, 2012
TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) -- The Reynolds School District says informal talks were held with striking teachers Thursday to clarify issues for mediation on Friday.
The district says the goal is for a settlement with the Reynolds Education Association that would allow classes to resume on Tuesday.
Classes were canceled this week after teachers went on strike Monday.
The district east of Portland has 11,000 enrolled students.
