Pierce County WA sheriff: report of tiger on loose



PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) — A Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman says deputies and animal control officers are checking out two witness reports of a Bengal tiger on the loose in Puyallup, Wash.

KOMO-TV says deputies showed one witness a photo of a Bengal tiger and he said that’s what he saw Thursday afternoon.

Spokesman Ed Troyer says crews are responding to River Road near Gay Road.

The east Pierce County community is about 30 miles south of Seattle.
