Thursday, May 24, 2012
SEATTLE (AP) -- Seattle police say a man was fatally shot as he drove with his family through an area of south Seattle.
Detective Jeff Kappel says the man in his 40s was not the target of the Thursday afternoon shooting. Kappel says the victim was one of three adults and two children in a van when shots were fired.
The victim was not immediately identified.
The police spokesman says three suspects were seen running from the area, near Martin Luther King Jr. Way and East Cherry Street.
